Hello Gents,
I have a recent issue after cleaning my starter where it seems to swing the motor over only half a revolution then disengages from the flywheel. Sometimes though, it does not even engage the flywheel, it just spins.
I noticed when cleaning the starter out that the copper part of the solenoid had worn a ring pattern off the copper. I am thinking this could be the cause?
The part in question is highlighted in yellow in the pic below.
