Pack Dog
Three of us decided to combine the rugby semi-final of the past weekend with a nice trip; should Province not make it against Morne or against themselves, we would at least have had a good time. So Raymond, Jaques and me left Durbanville Saturday morning to watch the game in Sutherland.
Durbanville – Bainskloof – Ceres – Op-die-berg. Then the real trip started:
Between Op-die-berg and R355.
Katbakkies pas looking back towards Op-die-berg.
Katbakkies drive-through domicile.
R355 from Katbakkies pas.
R355.
I klapped a brick on the N1 a while ago, which pinched the side wall of the front tube. Murphy’s law – nothing happened until we reached the middle of the Tankwa Karoo. That tire is a bitch to put back on!
R355 from Bloukrans pas.
We refilled in Calvinia and had a warm beer in Middelpos,
and reached the White House in Sutherland
in time for the rugby in the Mars Bar with Adrian and then had a great braai outside.
Sunday morning bitumen got the winning vote over dirt, so we had breakfast in Touwsrivier and got home before noon.
