Is that what you meant!!? :peepwall: ;) :lol8:

As usual, Ri, your detailing of the physical actualities of your ride is impressive, but it is your understated presentation of the emotionality of your ride that is most compelling: in particular I love your nuanced evocation of the memory of Henry.

Readers be warned: The story Ri tells herself (and you) of her riding ability is not to be trusted. Having done a long ride with her before, she is much more competent and accomplished than she makes herself out to be... And in her solo modality, as inappropriate as the metaphor may be, she has a serious set of stones...

Thanks Ruffian, very kind words indeed. The Henry ride was bittersweet. I still want to cry for the loss, he was an exceptional human being.

It was in great part thanks to our ride that I had the confidence to head out on my own. I started to believe I might not be as bad a rider as I thought :imaposer:

My! You do write a splendid report. Thank you.

Another WD friend not seen in a while :-[

Thank goodness for reports like these, at least we still notice each other around.

I enjoy meeting new WDs. Met [member=7703]Jacobsroodt[/member] today - a very pleasant and patient person with lots of advice :thumleft:

And [member=2975]Crossed-up[/member] hangs out here now  Once my trailer is patched and ready, I might just join them one Sunday.

It was good meeting you as well Ri! It took a moment to make the connection, but Ri on the forum with her DR650 is a legend☺
Best of luck with the trailer. I used Rust Remover from Midas to remove rust on my trailer, and then gave it 2 coats of RustStop RX100 to stop it from rusting again.

Legend? Think you might be overstating... but thanks (*blushing*)

I couldn't find Rust Remover so I bought some "America's best-selling" rust remover stuff I found. I hope it is effective. Looking forward to the end result. Thank you for all your advice and help :)

I see what you did there :laughing4:

Thank you kindly, Sir, glad you enjoyed :thumleft:

Thank you Riana. Great RR once again. :sip:

Just to add what was said before. . . . . .I could have saved you a lot of time to tell you about how good your riding skills are, after our 31st Dec ride last year. :ricky: You are a very respected Dog. :thumleft:

Well done Ri.

Attaquas was hairy, and you were doing it with a pillion...!! So, thank you for the kind feedback [member=12581]ButtSlider[/member] :toothy6:

I watch others sliding their bikes around in unnerving ways, riding at high speed. seeming to be always into control, and I'm nowhere near that. But I'll get there in time, and stop comparing myself in the meantime  :thumleft:

Jislaaik, maar jyt n stuk aarde gecover in hierdie trip (en darem nie te veel gekoop ook nie ;). Baie plekke en paaie gesien op jou report wat ek beslis in my toekomstige trips gaan insluit. :thumleft:

Baie dankie vir die deeglike verslag.

Ek het 'n week gelede so halfpad gelees en vanoggend gaan koffie maak vir die res :thumleft:
