The new Anakee 3 - I am going to do all terrain with it. I trust it will be able to handle it.

Lekker travels and safe riding.

If you in Arusha give ne a shout. My cuzzie lives there

I am going to Arusha. Please send me his details at [email protected] and pm me. I would very much appreciate it.

A last stop at JJ CHIDREN'S HAVEN before hitting the road.  The kids sang a blessing on this venture and I was off. Grahamstown next, then Bedford to Cradock.  :xxbah:

Someone suggested I stay at the Royal Hotel in Bethulie. Cant find any sign of it when I get there. Two ladies stop in response to my look of bewilderment and inform me that the hotel only caters for groups.  They phone a fellow biker and he has place. So down the road and Peter meets me at Ou Vellies.

After the normal pleasantries, tour of the house and some unpacking, I head to Wilde something pub. After hearing about the cold of -9 deg and subsequent burst water pipes, I am served this HUGE burger that I cannot finish. Then it is back to the house, hot shower, heater and electric blanket to beat the cold.

The next day is a late start as I wait for the temperature outside to become bearable. Quite a few cups of coffee help the process. I have a nice chat with my hosts Peter and Annette. Very involved with local charity work and Annette once attempted to walk to Namibia pushing a 100kg trolley.  The cold got to her unfortunately.

They did not charge me for my accommodation as a contribution to the JJ CHILDREN'S HAVEN.

Thank you Lupo and Miss Piggy for your generosity.  Baie dankie.

Please support them if you are in the area.

Thanks Murphy. Pity you not coming with, but I will enjoy it for both of us.

Thanks Alan and Lorraine. Hope my tyres are on their way.

Hope these photos post.

OK so they did.

First there was this interesting spot along my detour via Trompsburg and Jagersfontein. Then there was just a cold spot with a nice view and finally my friendly tank-filler-upper in Bloemfontein.

Murph, you will not believe where I am now.....at Mama Rula's in Chipata, Zambia.  Got here via the back roads from the north. 2 days of heavy terrain riding. 10 hours each day and only 300km. Done with buggered knee after accident near Ifakara,  Tanzania.

YOUR STICKER IS STILL ON THE FRIDGE.

Details for now on my FB page. Will hopefully start updating here soon.
