I’ve just stumbled upon this RR.  What a gem, and to think it’s nearly a decade ago since this epic journey was undertaken!  It’s impact is quite substantial, for all the reasons given at the time.  Mostly, it’s inspirational and I’m sure was the motivation for many an adventurer following in MJ’s tyre tracks...
