'n roete waarvan mens nooit kan moegraak nie. Baie mooi RR sover

keep it coming  :thumleft:

Baie netjies.

Kan egter nie anders as om op te merk dat daai ADV baie swaar gelaai was nie.  Het dit jou nooit geplae op die grondpaaie nie?

I always carry a deck chair so that makes it look like a huge load . But hey I like to be comfy when I camp so I take what I need and its a 1200 BMW adv you can load makes no difference on gravel .

The plan was to head on to Seeheim where we would hit the Luderitz Keetmanshoop tar road and then we would head for Luderitz on tar . That ride was good , the weather was great and the road was fun , a lot of loose gravel sand mix . We got to Seeheim and a it was a hotel  we thought we would get fuel there ,but no fuel so we sat in the sun and drank koffee and chatted to the owner who said he used to farm near Grahamstown but I never met him quite a funny guy I think his name was Kloppers . Now we are low on fuel so we had to ride to Aus @ 60 kph , big trucks were passing us but we made it , my fuel tank showed 2 km left . Fill up every time you see a filling station ......I will remember.
Have to go and work will post photos tonight

WHILE LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO STAY IN LUDERITZ WE MET TWO COUPLES WITH THEIR KIDS FROM PAARL . They insisted that we stay in their house that they were hiring . we did and what nice people , the one guy worked for KWV and his wife worked for Distell so that night we drank good wine . Later we went to the local sports bar for supper and watched Germany klap Brazil @ world cup soccer . Now Namibia is full of German supporters so you can imagine the atmosphere . The next morning we went to an oyster Factory and klapped the oysters @ Ront 5 each ...the best I have had and I love oysters . We then headed off via Kolmanskop back to Keetmanshoop where my mate Steve was going to head home the next day.

We had lunch again in Aus Believe it or not Oysters ...even better than the ones at the factory .
Headed to Keetmanshoop and could not find any place to sleep . We did not want to camp as we needed to get an early start the next morning . I was heading north and Steve south . The hotel in Keetmans found us a place outside town on the road to SA , like a road lodge forgot the name  it is behind a ultra city type arrangement . food was good and beer cold bed comfy all was good.
The next morning I left in the direction of Malathohe via Mariantal heading for Sesriem . Steve went on to Britstown . It was good to be back on gravel @ Malathohe .
