Checking in,been home for a while but what a lekker trip.To all the guys who planned the route thanks it was awesome,especially for the bigger bikes.
Thanks Pete for putting it together,I am sure if you do it again next year you will get more folk joining.Also thanks to my ride buddies on the way up,Sproketbek and Greg(Non WD).I went through Nic's photies and he has some awesome ones.Hopefully the perfectionist will post soon.

Wow what a weekend.  :thumleft:

Thanks to everyone that went on the out-ride. It was a great days out ride and all seemed to have enjoyed it. Everyone was so well behaved. As far as I know there was only one flat tire on the ride and no incidents/falls. What a privilege and pleasure it was to take all of you on the out-ride.    :thumleft:  :ricky:

I didn't take any photos or video of the main out-ride but I do have some video of the Buffels river after ride that I will edit and post later. Some good footage of two 1150 GS/A rides. Well done for doing it.      :thumleft:


This out-ride would not have been if 5 Wilddogs didn't go two months ago at own cost to go and speak to farmers and Reccie the area, Andy660, Nismark, 2StrokeDan and Robin Brown for the Wilddogs.  :thumleft:

the ride up via calitzdorp was fantastic, shot to andy, rovrat and co for organising it!

big thanks pistonpete for making it happen and to pure orange for the lift home!
the XR died on the way home... superfoxi came to the rescue with his bakkie though. will open her up tomorrow and see whats cracking.

We left Saldanha in the rain on Friday morning.  The gravel road from Ceres to Matjiesfontein (via Patatrivier, I think) was like snot.  Let’s just say there were a couple of close calls.  

No photos of Friday night?

Saturday’s ride was great – nice, easy and relaxing.  I know my own limits on a bike and I push the limits sometimes.  But it is good to see guys whose limits far exceed your own.  Respect to you guys!  And an understanding that there is scope for personal growth.

Sunday morning’s drive home was on tar.  Some people call it family responsibilities.
