I'm told it's Mothers' Day on Sunday, and that there are some who take it seriously.
Surely, the nicest thing you can do for her is to bring the breakfast and Sunday paper to her in bed at 8am and then clear off, out of the house, and leave her in peace?
And the best place to clear off to is the quarry. Here you will rid yourself of the cares of the week. Then you can nip back home in time to shower and take her out for the afternoon.
You will both be happy - and that's wonderful, isn't it?
