WC to EC Bash Dedicated to KTM kev RIP

:biggrin: We met up with Tony and his misses who were on a long ( week?) ride. We had a bet on when it would rain , which superten won.  The skies opened up just before Calitzdorp and it was raining cats and dogs. Lucky most of us were kitted up by then.

A very wet Calitzdorp. Lucky it cleared up quickly while having a cold lunch in the dark . Funny how the challenges end up being most enjoyable . :biggrin:

Don't know why KTM Kev looks so dry , Andy looking as wet as I felt .  :biggrin:

Ashley kindly let Alex have the KTM 1190 and he and Lord Knormoer had the time of their life testing their bikes on the tar section to Willowmore, Knorrie on his 2014 LC 1200. I got to ride the 1190 and was very impressed how light and nimble it was and smooth . mmmmm. In all fairness I haven't ridden the latest 1200's so don't know how to compare, but jeepers compared to my old GS the 1190 felt like a 690 .  :biggrin:

superten jumped  into that icy water, so did Shaheed later, brave guys , it was a tad chilly for the rest of us.

Dan putting up his tent , and Oppie joined us . Andy in his Yamaha gear . superten and Alex; and group photo. Happy smiling faces, we had the whole afternoon to relax and soak up the sunshine , and enjoy the lekker food and meeting up with other Bash goers.  :3some:

Was great riding with you lot, although I missed out on most of the first and last day! Seems the 690 is also not indestructible. I am going to take Shaheed's advice and am visualising a KTM 450 RR for three hours a day!

As usual Andy did not disappoint with his routes, and I personally really enjoyed the walk on Saturday. Bunch of 40+ year olds like kids in the rocks!  ;D

Glad everyone back home safe. Saw Superten coming into Parklands yesterday afternoon. Could see he had tunnel-vision, and would have had to ride over him to get his attention! 

Really an awesome weekend!

What a weekend, what a ride! I loved every minute even though I ate some humble pie in the mud and again in the sand eepwall:

I wish to make a few nominations:
1. Most falls - Me!? Once in the mud and twice in the sand
2. Most spectacular fall/dismount - Operator for jumping the Tenere 180 degrees onto the reeds during a water crossing
3. Most damage (With rider on the bike) - SuperTen for removing his mudguard in the sand
4. Most damage (Without rider on the bike) - Adventure Hunter for pushing his bike over while oiling the chain
