Hey Grootseun, I'm The Gentleman on the forum... Guess u know why now, ha ha! It was a pleasure to ride with u dude. Thanks for the great write up! I hope the lighty is in good shape!?

Wild Dogs bash was amazing, some of the best fun I have ever had! Can't wait for the next one!!!

P.S. I'm feeling a lot better on the 1200 now on the dirt, even loaded or with the pillion... ha ha! The boxer is the best thing ever! Still miss the Dakie a lil, though and always will! The boxer was even using less fuel thant the KLR & XT on the way back.

Good to hear youre more comfortable with the bike, still I reckon you should consider get knobblies, even if Grootseun like his slicks so much ;D

And that's it. That's my version of the trip to the Bash and back.

I loved this year's Boegoeberg Bash. Best one Yet! Thanks all. Special thanks to JourneyMan who organised all the logistics even though he couldn't be there himself to whip the caterers in shape ;D

Great pics & report, thanks very much. It was nice to meet you too, although you might not remember, because you were making not much sense at all and then later  apologized that perhaps you had had too much to drink.

OK to ICM, Blue Bull, Grootseun and The Gentleman, thanks a lot guys for the company riding down and back from the bash. To the rest of the people I met at the bash, it was a pleasure to meet everyone. A very lekker jol and the Transboegoe Resort is really an excellent place. Must make a plan to go back there sometime soon.

Excellent camping spot  :thumleft:
Will post some of my photos this weekend. >:D

Fark LS - stunning pics!!!  Any feedback on what was wrong with the 'ready to race but not to finish' bike?

Nothing yet. The dealer seem to be as mystified as we were.

The more pictures I see of the trips, the more suurgat I become. I shall now unsubscribe from this- and related threads :-(

Bike still at the workshop - no news as yet. Fortunately, 'lectrics can be fixed by a knowledgeable person. Just need to find one now.

Hoesit tjomma, het jou gemis.

Moenie unsubscribe nie - koop 'n ander bike...

Good for you - mos nie die eerste keer nie.  seriously, 'n bike moet my net een keer so drop - ek skop hom en steek hom aan die brand....  Ready to race, but not to finish....

I'm also waiting in anticipation to hear what went wrong, always good to know, just a pity it happened to your bike.

Will split my pics in 2 - one lot for a separate ride report and the bash pics to be added here. Will do it later this week. Meanwhile just two funnies (I was with the Lucky Striker Safari)

Please also allow me this opportunity to thank my riding mates LS, Wino and Butch for a wonderful trip, JourneyMan for organising a brilliant bash and lastly but perhaps most sincerely, my thanks to Wino who very responsibly led a nightblind geriatric in the dark down Hex River, and all the way to the northern suburbs at the end of it all when we decided that Laingsburg was way too depressing to spend a Sunday night. Could not have managed it otherwise
