What was the German riding LS? Looks like a DR with moerse tank.

Nope, He was on a MZ with a KTM640 tank and seat. He's had it for 15years I think he said. And his rebuilt it only once or twice I can't remember. It's been absolutely everywhere.

You could tell ze German owner was a seasoned traveller and proud of his East German machine

The next day we went south to the border. We were longing for faster roads and frankly, South Western Nam just wasn't that interesting...

After correcting the seizure we went on to Augrabies for the night. We wanted to spoil ourselves a bit

And of course the next day we arrived at the Bash.

I don't have many pics of the Bash itself. I was too busy having a good time to worry about a camera.
Others have better pics than I anyway

On the way back. TopDeck road between Koegas and Draghoender

I wanted to get home and pushed through to CapeTown in one go

Here I am looking over the Boland. Another 40km to my front porch

And that's it. That's my version of the trip to the Bash and back.

I loved this year's Boegoeberg Bash. Best one Yet! Thanks all. Special thanks to JourneyMan who organised all the logistics even though he couldn't be there himself to whip the caterers in shape ;D

From your 1st photo Butch does not look amused.

I would not have been either.

Something like this is a double whammy: 1 - your bike isn't lekker and will probably cost money to fix and 2 - You are missing out on an awesome trip with good friends.
