What's the differences?

What's the differences between the GS650 GS (Single) and GS650 GS (Twin Spark) with the 800cc engine.  Are there other configurations other than the two in question?

What are the PRO's and CON's of both?

When buying one of these what must you look out for and what is considered a "safe" mileage on these engines?  Parts?  Cost of maintenance? Yada Yada Yada...
