The Road from Nottingham Rd to Himeville is the most scenic road along the Southern Berg - Bikers Paradise - glad you enjoyed it. :ricky:

They say so.  :thumleft:  I need to go back, the 1st and last time we rode that road it was during the night.  :eek7:  We could not get accommodation in Mooirivier and had to push trough to our daugter in Kokstad.  atch:

Chikanka Lodge sits at the end of the first road as you come into town with an uninterrupted view of the Berg.











Still some nice gravel roads around out here.

I'm heading for Elliot today but stop to take some photos outside Ugie where a mate of mine planted lots and lots of trees in the '90's.

I have been through Elliot many years ago and thought it uninteresting then ... well it is not. A family from JNB has sold up and settled there. They built The Guardians Lodge and it's a smallholding with 4 Boarder Collies, 8 Peacocks, about 500 Sheep and a restaurant ... it's impressive ... if a little impersonal.













The Guardians are really only noticeable when right under them ... another hidden gem in the EC.













The last few days on this years ride takes me to East London for the first time this Millennium.



I stop in to see a friend in EL and it's a good catch up. This 13 day trip ends 2 days later back in Great Brak, in all a 4577km ride to the wrong place that turns out to be just the right place after all ...

Man, what an unforgettable experience with the Cheetahs.

What a trip, screams of incredible scenery, solitude, comfortable accommodations, and a great bike.
