Where to shop in Cape Town?

I have ordered my bike (delivery en June), but now need to buy some gear. Please tell me where I should go shop in the greater Cape Town area.

Need to buy:
1 x helmet for every day use
1 x winter gloves for everyday use

Budget for helmet is about R3000 and gloves about R800. I would appreciate suggestions on what (brands/models) I should consider.

The idea is to use my new KTM street bike to commute to work every day between Durbanville and Goodwood.
