Here I was, Saterday Afternoon and on my way to a braai. On my way I had to cross Cape road. I looked to my right and saw a bike coming but he was still about 100 to 150 meters away in a 60km/h zone. Still thinking that he should have his headlight checked, I started to cross. Being a biker myself I kept my eye on him and started to cross - afterall this was a 60km/h zone and he was still far away. Halfway accross I relized that this was a superbike doing a wheely at high speed past the Hunters retreat hotel. I double cludged my wife poor car to get out the way. About 30meters from me he put it down on both wheels and missed me by a couple of meters, still doing far in excess of 100km/h!!!
If I was not bike aware or if my wife was driving (not a bad driver but only has her licence for about a year) he would surely have hit us as there was no ways that he would have been able to stop in time at the speed he was doing.
And here we are.. He is probably still telling his mates about this stupid poepol that pulled out in front of him and nearly caused his death.............
