Went out for ride with better half and Spannerman in on a very windy sunday. Meeting up in Muizenberg and riding over Boyes drive to Kalkbay for b/fast. Nice place/people and taking a walk afterwards found the HD boys accross the road with enough chrome to blind passing by vehicles. Must be a nice sound when all 100 odd start up. The one that spanner was having a look at must have 2 about one foot long pipes slash cut out the side, obviously from the wrong side of town

I bet not even the howling southeaster hurricane could drown out the sound of those lawnmowers.
Spanner seems to have that unmistakable twinkling in the eye, lusting after that beast. Or maybe remembering days long gone...

We rode on and was half blown over ou Kaapse weg then up to Constantia and then sideways on the N2 to s/west, last pic of falsebay on the way in. Fair ride with nice people

Back to front with the Tulbach trip we did thursday b4. Having never been to Tulbach but every town around we rode out in perfect weather early thursday from Somerset over Wellington and poor Gouda, shame even ANC office was stuffed. The hotel must be doing ok though. Then on to the pretty Tulbach for a quick breakfast, lovely place and people. Lots off old buildings if thats your thing and not the looney pricing of some of the other CT wine country towns

After a little walkabout  and feeling the summer sun trying to cook me with black kit on we hopped on towards Ceres turning off in Mithells pass back to Wellington coming back over Bainskloof. Stopping in Bainskloof for pics the 2nd pic showing where the dinamite exploded in the rock when this beauty was built. Fantastic ride and scenery

Thanks for the photies, XT!! Brings back fond memories.

PS. That building was destroyed in a fire and will be cleared shortly... including ANC office. Lets hope somebody puts up something that will compliment the spirit of this little town.

Dankie Hitman
Poor old Gouda is nie meer wat hy was nie, maar ek ruil hom vir niks anders nie. Kom maak gerus 'n draai by die slaghuis.

Lekker trip en mooi fotos XT.Julle moet weer n slag diekant toe kom .Die riviere is nou afgeloop en die paaie is geskraap.
