Ok so after my bike spent nearly a month at a mechanic in PTA ( The only one willing to work on it ) they have not done anything and I lost it. Took the bike back. Will work the engine myself then.
Now my questions. Everyone always says you have to mark everything etc etc when you are going through the engine to make sure you do not loose timing or something... Well, I am going through the user guide and I see no mention of it. Any tips?
Next, how do I check if the cam chain and/or cam chain tensioner needs replacing?
Next, In the guide it says I must use the rotor holding tool as is seen below... Anyone know where I can get/borrow such a tool?
Next, how do I know if it's the big end bearing that is stuffed?
Essentially, I want to find out what is causing the knocking noise when accelerating.
Any other tips?
