The rest of us wait for a very long time at a stream crossing. Great conversations with locals and interesting passers by

What was the mood of the locals? Positive? Welcoming?
The friendliest people you'll ever come across. We had meaningful conversations most places we stopped.
I was really impressed by the locals, it was only in cities and big towns where the drunk town idiot was a bit of an irritation.

On the beach. We wait for just over an hour before the rest arrive.......
We chat to locals walking past and take in the beautiful surrounds

Everywhere we went on this trip people would ask :"Are you in a race?" to which we would answer :"No, we are riding for fun" , which in turn always seemed to confuse the locals a bit.

Just a guy pushing a bicycle and a music centre strapped to the carrier through a river.......

We come across a collapsed bridge. A local passer by is adamant that there is a path around it, but a few of us are already committed and true to the adv spirit, the rest of the guys follow us through the obstacle
