I will start this Zingela Bash Ride Report, but please feel free to add comments and pics to your heart's content.

Just like the Bash, the more the merrier, no protocol and very informal.

Ten of us left Pmb for the bash at Zingela Lodge at around 09h00 on Friday morning.

Quite a diverse group consisting of bikes ranging from 300cc to 1200 cc

We rode the first part of the route together, but then split into two groups for the remainder when the smaller bikes branched off for some more technical riding

Bunch of reprobates! :ROFLMAO: .... I'm sorry I missed this one!...... how was the wind?
Jo Tom.........dunno about the Others, but we had HECTIC wind all the way from Sterkfontein, RIGHT down to even the Bethlehem - Clarens road:sneaky:o_Oo_O
Seriously the worst I've ever experienced.

Taking a breather from the heat

After a while we reached the dry river bed section

This area is fantastic to ride, can only be done in late winter before the rains start, so our timing was perfect

I had spoken to @JonW earlier in the week, and had organized to meet along the route. I arrived a bit early as it turned out, and after riding along to the start of the proposed first track of the day, I headed back to the main road, and met the crowd riding back the other way.
We rode into the hills a km or two, hoping to cross through proudfoot estate, but as luck would have it. we came across a locked gate. A new plan was hatched and the bigger adventure bikes would split off and ride to Zingela via the middlerus road. Us folk on the smaller bikes would wind our way down the valley via a little old track at the end of the dirt road that goes past Craigie Burn.
