It was fine, I have done just over 4000km on it now, grip was as good as the previous versions, there is only one slight modification to the tread pattern. It was very stable on the marbly surfaces in Namibia, very predictable. We had to negotiate two sections of VERY thick sand as well, grip was good even though the sand was difficult to even walk on.
I ran it at +/- 1.9Bar on dirt, was too lazy to pump to 2.6Bar for a few short tar stretches, the tyre got very hot but had no issues. We ran at about 130 on tar with low pressures, once it was at proper tar pressures again it ran cool, tyre pressures are important, for any tyre.
I think it is still good for another 4-5000km, and I am not riding the tyre gently.
I personally will not use anything else, given the choice.
