This trip was part of my plan to visit all the SAI camps where they were in '79. Most of the camps mean nothing to me because I was not there, but I'm sure the pictures I take would mean something to whoever was there.

Those Spaniards are way more hardcore than I will ever be! I think they're nuts actually!

But wow, what a life exprience they are having!!!!!!

Ive met a few of those cycletravelers. Its a hard way to see the world. And they are tough. Very tough!
Met one in Helmeringhuizen once. He had 12 punctures between Maltahohe and Helmering!!! Enough to make me pack up!!!

Wow, those spaniard are a tough couple. There's not many places in Africa where I'd feel comfortable camping next to the road. Thanks for the report K!  :thumleft:

thanks for sharing

Only saw this now and could not stop reading. This is awesome and the pics are great.

Hope those Spaniards comes right with visas for Angolsh. This place will be another amazing adventure for them. Would love to see what they say about it.

Waiting to see what 8SAI looks like today. No more blood, sweat and tears like in 78 when I was there.

Looking forward to the next chapter. :thumleft:

This was the last email from them, they got their visas.... :thumleft:

Our spanish consul said "Ey you, you must to play lottery you can not imagine how
lucky you are people!!!"...and yes, he is right, ...we got the angolan visa in a record time,
they give us one month (and normally they give 5 days), and was much more cheaper that they
told us...then in the embassy of congo again the lucky seems that was coming with us; they
gave us in the same morning and for the price of one month we got 3 months, so....we only
can say one thing:    "YUUUjujuiiiiiii !!!!"...and keep cicling (we will be on the road again
this monday morning) heading this time norht again, to Dhamaraland, a land with wilde life
and desert areas (but less than south), after we will keep north to visit one of the most
amazing tribus: The Himba people, right in the border with angola, and the Epupa Falls (people
say this year are full full of watter).
That is our plan, as always..open th change in any moment we feel it will be worthy.
Enjoy life people, and be happy!!!
