This is a novice's attempt with a little bit of spanner knowledge (I know the front end form the back) to replace the seals of the water pump on a 650GS (single).
After discovering that there was water leaking into the bike's oil, (white scum under the oil cap) I ordered the kit from BMW and went to work.
Firstly I added engine flush to the oil and let the bike idle for just under 10min (couldn't wait to 10 minutes as per bottle recommendations). Then drained the oil and left the bike standing whilst collecting the parts from BM.
On my return I removed the oil filter and replaced it after cleaning up inside the oil filter area. After this it was time for coolant drainage.
Then on to removing water pump. I don't actually know why it is called a pump? I suppose it pumps, but I expected more. It is an impeller in a housing.....then it must be a pump.
