Both of these historical ox wagon passes, which are now 4x4 routes traversing private property and require permits, have been on my bucket list for some time now. I'm keen to explore but don't think it's advisable to tackle solo, especially Attakwaskloof which is rated as technical.
The Attakwaskloof Pass is situated about 20km north of Mossel Bay, starting at Bonniedale and ending on the Robinson Pass. The Duiwelskop Pass is situated east of George, starting at the Louvain guest farm on the R62 and ends up on the Seven Passes Route.
Anybody interested in joining me give me a shout, preferably on a Saturday and done seperately.
