It allways start with a couple of friends having a braai and planing something.Six of us decided to have a 2day trip to one of my friends in the Rietbron district and this is how it went.
We left Saterday morning from Graaff-Reinet to Murraysburg.Just on the otherside of the town,there is a turnoff to Nelspoort and from there we will ride to Beaufort-West where we plan on having brunch at the Spur.We arrived about 12h00 in Beaufort,having left Graaff-Reinet 8h30 or so.Being quite thursty,lunch took a bit longer than planned.Leaving 14hoo ,we had to take the De Rust road for 80km's to reach the Seekoegat turnoff.That is where Ben Tap joined us after his Springbokralley event.From there it was a awsome ride to Rietbron.Just past the first farm,6 kudu's came cross the road about 20meters infront of me.They were quite scares this year and was great to see in full flight.It was a 63km ride to rietbron and from there another 25k's to the farm where we stayed.Blydefontein is the property of Micheal Murray and he created a awsome campsite next to a dry riverbed.Everything you need ito camping is availeble.Needless to say, the stay had all the elements that makes a biketrip funn,present.
The next morning we head back home via the Willowmore-Graaff-Reinet road.It was a 660km trip and funn all the way.Iwill try to attach photos as we go along.
