I bought a 2008 BMW F800ST on auction,it's a ex J'burg Metro Police bike with 91000km.
The idea was to to recon her ,service ,cosmetics ect.as I have done in the past with a 1200RT.
Problem is,she is a SMOKER,after I replaced the battery and she fired up it was just smoke,I think it must be a broken ring or a oilring that is stuck.
My mechanical knowledge is to limited to strip and repair the motor.
The tyres are almost new and as mentioned I replaced the battery,you will need to replace the forkseals and heated grips,I took her for a ride around the block and everything else seems to be okay.
