Thanks Guys, just thought I would share how hardcore we are...and to warn others!

:imaposer:

I agree with you spot on Bertie
One must think twice before you venture into off road areas that can claim your life
I personally have never been up there but I have heard that just the mere sight of the vertical cliffs on the northern end descent will give you nightmares forever.
Luckily I have heard that there are no sheep or other livestock up there...…….it is just too high and rough and animals fear to tread.
Good up on you brave souls!
Ysters on a knife edge! :thumleft:

No man. I fear no pass. And I feel like cheating death. Thinking of doing it on my Vespa....

Good laugh.  :imaposer:

True story ....

A fairly seasoned adventure rider had an off there about a year ago on a GS800 that, looking back now was the catalyst for some significant changes in her life. She was pretty much left immobile for 3 months - legs elevated as a result of a complex break in her ankle. She had a small business with some key clients. Her business nearly collapsed due to her inability to visit her clients. Tossing up between riding and business continuity, ended up selling her 800 and foregoing the joys of adventure riding.

... and that's the story of the nasty Neck of Breedt  :deal:

That will shut up all the naysayers! You okes thought I was joking!!

After the nightmare ordeal with Breedts nek we have decided to attempt various easier excursions. The first two will be Jockstrap and Baboons in Lesotho. Checking out the Arial views on google earth the terrain looks pretty flat. A lot flatter than Breedts.
As for screwing Bertie out of the bush..........you guys have sick minds.

And the 2018 Award for Best Short Ride Report goes too...                Straatkat & Co.!!!!  :blob10: :blob3: :blob5: :blob6: :blob7:

Looking forward to the epic on Jockstrapping a Baboon!!!

Straatkat, you is men, manly men for attempting such bravery. You make us all look like wildpups.

Way back in the forums infancy a ride was planned to Breedsnek but we tried one of the tracks to the left on top of the actual pass. Back then there was no gate, maybe still not have not been there in a while think it's private property. Now that was a tough one, there was even a plastic on the ride KTM 300 or something and he could not make it to the top.

Yeah that was it, I had one look at that hill and decided to park my bike before all the chaos began. Did have to help a lot of other bikes that went down come back up again  Good days, was that the one where Shark almost drowned his bike as well ?

Edit nope was after Dewildt ride

I think not, I think the drowning was when we did the rock and river beads as Louis Xander was with us, I had a moment of sanity and said NOT a F at trying to go through that flooded road.

Big B.......do you think we'll make page four. :ricky:

I guess I am just too clever to ever be caught attempting something this death-defying.

Anyway, I do not wear boots, what will my mates pull me out by? :eek7: :eek7:

Thanks Straatkat!! :thumleft: :thumleft:

A couple years back, I was hiking through those hills and came across that same 'road'. First thing that came to mind was "I wanna try that on a bike". You boys musta kakked off getting up there ................

I never walked to the end, I was crossing the path, so can't say if there's still access to it. But one thing's for sure, if I went down there on my 950, that's where it would end it's days. 'Coconuts' at De Wildt comes to mind.

I heard that Chuck Norris once tried to do Breedsnek, but failed  :eek7:

So I bow to you Men of Men

Legends are made on that infamous pass...  :deal:
