A hot shower was in order. We  moved over to the restaurant, eat and drink time ;D. When we placed our orders for pizza, they told us most of the toppings are out of stock, so they just put on whatever they had stock of. The pizza was  huge, about 1kg each. After lunch we went for a stroll through town, looking for ice. We then saw that a bottle of Jameson will set us back R450, so we will be drinking Red heart, which we brought with from home. After a few lazy hours, chilling and trying to get our gear dry, we went to bed.

I would love to go back with the 4x4, seeing that bikes are not allowed in most of the major parks! The bikes were great though.  :thumleft:

Day 5
Woke up early again, looking forward to better weather. It was not raining and the clouds weren't so thick - the day ahead looked good. We headed for Pandamatenga, the border between Botswana and Zimbabwe. This was a straight tar road with warning signs of elephants on the road. 20km further we saw the first big elephant right next to us. Next there were 2 giraffes and shortly after that a zebra ran across the road. This lifted our moods immediately. We got to the Botswana border post, which went quick. The Zimbabwe border took an hour and a half with only me and my dad there. After the border crossing we were riding on a beautiful road in a beautiful park.

The road was not in a great condition but after the road to Kubu Island it wasn't too bad. There was also plenty of wildlife. I dropped my bike for the second time, resulting in a broken spot light, some ducktape fixed the problem. We were having an all-round good day. Then it started raining again. The road became very slippery and we where making our way, to Victoria Falls, slowly.

Again we won't be camping in Vic Falls, so we booked in at Pennywise self catering. 120USD for 2 nights so we decided to take a rest day. The cottages were very nice with a communal kitchen and braai area. So we will braai tonight. Off to town looking for a butchery. We found the butchery and bought 2 of their toughest rump steaks, but none the less we had a few beers and a lekker braai and even a salad!

Awesome Awesome Awesome!!

You're a very privileged young man to do this with the toppie and I hope to do the same with my two stoutgatte one day.

I see vegetation up to Kasane has recovered beautifully. The last time I was there was just after that terrible fire that saw Nata lodge burn down.

Day 6
We slept well but got up early. Exploring town, visiting Vic Falls, a braai and a few beers was the plan. The falls is a 3km walk from where we stay, so out came the backpack and off we went. The town has plenty of tourist shops. Victoria Falls you have to go see for yourself. I've seen a few waterfalls before but this one is a lot different. We spent most of the morning exploring around the falls, and I would love to go back for the river rafting. We got what we needed in town and head back to our cottage. We ended a relaxing, yet interesting day with a braai and a cold one.
