Today on the way to breakfast, my 800's clutch started to slip. The slipping developed only when it became warm. What could have caused this? I only have 8500km on the bike and never really abused the clutch ( except one time last year on the Rebel Run where I burned the clutch going over the mountain). Could abusing it once have done enough damage to the clutch that it starts slipping now only?
Does the whole clutch and basket needs to be replaced or only the plates? The bike is not under warranty anymore (2011). Anybody knows the cost of replacement?
