The Eastern Free State has some of the most scenic riding terrain in the country. With the rivers being extremely low at this time of the year it makes for stunning riding.
This is a photo report.

We have been riding in this area for many years and we still keep on discovering new things, just have a look at this amazing feature in the side of the mountain.

Years ago I was riding in the general direction of Durban - I was taking my cousin's Guzzi 850 Le Mans to him as he got transferred to the Natal Highlanders or such like.

The road was quiet, the riding contemplative as I was savoring the scenery - there was a thunderstorm coming over the mountains, and the veld was had peculiar yellow glow to it - when all of a sudden this herd of about 20 odd horses galloped past.

Stopping to take it all in, and I can remember it vividly because of the whole scene, I couldn't not help but thinking "so this is why the Boere was not going to give it up to the Kakies...."

You guys do some nice ride man.

A question, do you know what specs the one rider using, are they prescription riding specs or just some safety glasses.
I'm looking for a solution as contacts just don't work for me.

Elmer, those are normal safety glasses that we buy at a hardware shop, we use them because goggels are too warm.

Nice Picture, we also did those routes but on 990"s .....various insurance claims had to be submitted.....

Thanks, I figured as much. My quest for something similar with prescription lenses continues then :sip:
