So after many discussions on where we would go, Blikners arranged for us to go to Monte Christo. It's only available on invite and its not what you know it who you know and we know Blikners  :thumleft:. So Riaan and son, Fearless Frikkie and daughter, Rooi Willie and son and myself and son met at Graanendal shopping complex to load some extra stuff in Riaan's bakkie. We were all very excited and got going soon after we arrived at Graanendal. We left Graanendal and our first stop was in Gouda by Vaalbaas (Gouda Butchery) to get some NICE biltong, droewors and meat. Next stop was Monte Christo. When we arrived we all got straight into the pool to cool off. R-O-V- Rat and Daughter and Bilkners and son arrived soon after we got there, they had a longer trip than us Blikners all the way from Swellendam and R-O-V-Rat from Hermanus. Vaalbaas arrived after 12 as some one has to work and keep Gouda's economy going  :laughing4: We all set up our tents and just chilled  All the kids had awesome time, we could not get them out the pool. This is definitely the most i have ever written since school  :laughing4: so i will let the pics tell the rest of the story.

Thx to Blikners for organizing the camp site and Riaan for the bakkie with a FRIDGE  :thumleft:.

Thanks Gavin this was a memorable weekend and a brilliant idea. We really should do this more often.
We just got home after a very long scenic route ride and a breakdown with roadside repair work (well almost).
Just outside Touws River the Strom let rip with a monster fart and blew a rubber straight off fuel injection system - we fixed it at the Hotel - took about 45 minutes.
Will post more pics and info later. Heres Aidan trying to sleep - hy het heelpad gesit en visvang!
