Striggs
Race Dog
I decided to post it here and not under the ride reports section, as I am not in the mood to be told that it isn't worth the money blah blah blah.. my guess was that the people on this thread are enthusiasts and would enjoy the bike for what it is.. O0
So my baby arrived around 3 weeks ago.. all the fuss around what to do with her reached fever pitch..
In summary..
- VPS'd her from head to toe..
- fitted my Montana mount..
- fitted AXP bash-plate bought through Chris @ Flying Brick (thank you) - it required a bit of manipulation to not touch the tank, little bit of heat and some bending did the trick. I will be adding some high
density foam when the first service gets done..
- Removed the Karoo's, fitted used TKC80's from my 790R
- Fitted heavy duty tubes... I would really prefer the tubeless route. Not sure if anyone has attempted that? Pain in the ass carrying tubes etc.
- Fitted larger luggage plate and Enduristan Tailpack
so got all my shit together on Friday night, earliesh start on Saturday morning, heading off to Transkei for a little solo round trip.
