saturday saw my bikes first oil change. she had 1300km on i didnt want to do a single km further without fresh oil. buying the oilfilter from KTM was easier than i thought, since my bike is grey and expected themn to ask me for chassis number or sumthing.
anyway, the oilchange was easy and i learned alot about my bike:
for instance the fuel runs from the righthand tank into the left, and from there it goes to the carb.
also, it is not as intimidating to take both tanks and underride protection off as i thought.

always check the oil for washers  :

this happened to me before. as the oil is draining you hear a "plop" sound. then you find a brass washer at the bottom of the oil receptacle after youve put EVERYTHING back together. luckily this time i knew what that sound was so i stopped and checked to see if there was a washer in the oilpan, and yes, there was!
