Garmin 62S

I have finally come to the point where my old Garmin Etrex Legend is no longer charging from the USB and keeps switching off when riding. Started all this K#k after riding Northern Cape this Xmas, The dam thing had the rubber melting off it was so hot.... 45C +

Is 62S a suitable up-grade I really like to be able to do all my own routes, and tracks and loading of alternate maps. Any serious users out there whom can give me feedback.
