[XL500S]

Only 61 years old. From 1982 to 2009 my bike was a Yammie XJ650. Then I bought a 1981 XL500S and had the idea of "restoring" it but thus far I only had the engine done up - because I am so busy riding Henriette Hond that there is no time to "restore" it. It looks a bit farked (over middle age like me) as you okes will put it but it is my pride and joy. Been to The Hel (Gamkaskloof) for a weekend (other oke on a XR500R) and although I am a complete novice on gravel, I really enjoy the off-road experience. Next trips to get some experience will be here in the Overberg and surrounds. Saw Tankwa Karoo the other day (from the seat of an LVD) and that is where I wanna go ... after Cederberg ... That is, IF my dear wife of 35 years will tolerate my love affair with Lady Henriette H.
