So after making the luggage rack for my 500 (here: https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=253923) the next thing was to get auxiliary 12V power available to charge my phone. In doing this I didn't want to simply hook up a charger, I wanted to have a proper 12V socket installed.
So I played around with Freecad and came up with a dash of sorts that relocates the speedo, and has space for an ignition (purchased a while ago from [member=614]Runner[/member]) and 12V sockets/USB chargers. Ran the design through Cura and 3D printed it. 12 hours later it was done, and did not come out too bad.
Power was hooked up to the light, so it only powers while the engine is running. This way I don't have to worry about running the battery down.
