JA JA JA!!!! Paint dried, glued in 2 ports(pratley) soldered connections, siliconed exposed wires. Silver paint looks good(leftover frm Grizz painting the whales taillight inner reflector)

It is the intelectual one. Was gonna bbq, but she decided to take me to Spur. just had half pawpaw for brekkie, thx Grizz! Saw the Pod Build piece, remember it from my last UK visit.

Might try to get some heavy breathing going after Spur, but she is too nice for me to really try. So u can all give your imaginations a rest!!!!!

Going to watch silicone and glue dry now, maybe spin on bike.

However, we need to hear Dozers opinion as well. I suspect he has one too.

Definitely not my idea boet.......... but gla you found it useful - I think a lot of people have the wrong impression of Comms - some want silence and privacy - I found that "sharing" the ride does not mean constant nattering... but little bits of info being passed to each other or agreeing on a stop etc is definitely what makes the trip.
Comms between rider and pillion is also a huge must - hell this involves your pillion in the ride and although you enjoy sitting with the thrill of operating the bike......... remember your pillion sits in silence not knowing what's happening. Comms allows you to "share" the control and having an extra pair of eyes for safety is fantastic.

I suspect that if she tried it on the sort of ride we did, it would prove itself invaluable.

Just finished removing Suzuki coil from the GS, taking it back to Mavericks Father in Law later.

I have done just under 6200km on this bike, the last 1600-ish alone and must say the comms and company on long distance makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE.

Off to Eugenes farm for the weekend, flying back to England on Sunday evening.

Just took the Whale back to Mavericks FIL Neels.

Weird how after removing the Suzuki coil, I reconnected the faulty BMW one for the top plugs and it ran faultlessly.....  ???

Looking forward to seeing Eugene's farm near Napier for the weekend..... He caters for Quads and Offroad/DS riders there.
You can camp or sleep in the massive shed, pitch your tent indoors and stay dry.

Not sure how many WD's are interested, but PM me for more details or contact him at Mabille Engineering in Paarl.

Then Sunday night homeward.

I have enjoyed this trip but have to say, I do love my wife's company and looking for shit with my kids. And of course the cats as well.

Weather my be shit in the UK but it is where I lay my head.

A good woman is hard to live without no matter how good a time a man has on his own (or because of the good time that we miss sharing with them).  :thumleft:
You will have many stories to share as you enjoy her and the kid's company, I am sure that Sunday evening cannot come soon enough for either of you.

God bless you and your family and who knows I may yet pop-in to say hi in "sunny" England, Des still wants to do a tour of Scotland and Ireland, when next I have saved enough to do the trip. (and not then go and spend the money on a new bike, as I am prone to doing  >)

Had Great munchies at Spur, home, shower, back-massage and then played with the dog(mini Daschund/Yorkie X) Coffee @ 6, chat, on the road home by 8.

Odds & ends at home now, then book+ afternoon snooze to build energy for tonites bbq.

Grizz, leave the unweaned sheep and calves alone!!! and enjoy the farm and rest of your SA!!!!

Back from farm.

Cousin picking me up at 3pm for coffee and chat, then early drop off at airport by 7pm as I have one more meeting with Thinus to collect a 310 year old smoking pile he dived put off the Cape coast from a wreck years ago.
He feels Nicola should be the newcare taker of it as she likes pipes just a bit.

This will be my last entry till I get back to Mud Island where it seems to still be cold and chilly.

Sitting in the Business Class lounge in CT International Airport.

Flight at 23.20 and hope to be home by 18.00 tomorrow if the roads play along.

Louis, as mentioned before, some amazing guys met on this trip.

I met H2O/Tinus at Greens in Plattekloof with my cousin Marius tonight.

Tinus brought me a 300+ year old pipehe felt should be curated by Nicola....... What a nice guy, and he has one of the most envy provoking jobs I ever heard of...... ask him when you see him  :biggrin:
