Hey Rob, yes it is not bad at all BUT it was very wet and I had Anakees on so had to take it slow and some parts just slid down and the ruts steered me. You can come down there with a good pace when dry  :thumleft:

What a pretty part of the world.

Has anyone done  The Devils Bellows pass ??

Riding around in by backyard I see.     Next time drop me a line so we can have a ride together.

I did the Mitchelss pass down to Seymore, up Katberg over Devils Bellows a while ago.  I will get the link to my RR.  You need to take a detour after Devils Bellow, the road is blocked by some massive trees.  You will see it in my RR.

See the link, sorry for the Afrikaans.

Jeff. Yes, I came down from the Hells Bellows after coming over the Winterberg then up Mitchels pass to the Hogsback on our way back from Cape Town in March. The Katberg pass is in quite good condition because the Telkom vehicles have to get up there to service the microwave tower. You have a choice of passes but the Katberg pass leads straight to Mitchels pass. The winterberg has an enormous number of horses, some doing better than others (see picture) We were in a car so it was probably a bit more comfortable than your beemer. We found the Hogsback a bit precious so we headed on to EL. Ian

gps track attached.

Ok thanks Ian. Did you do the 4x4 route north of Hogsback past the dam?

Thanks Vis Arend......Will give you a shout. Are you in Hogsback?

(past thrift dam on Swart-Kei) Not too much of a 4x4 drive Jeff. Read an article in a Caravan magazine recently of a guy who did it in his camper van. Must have rattled the cups and saucers around a bit though! Ian

Was in Hogsback the weekend
Really really love it there especially this time of year

We stay in King William's Town, a stone throw from Hogsback.  Yip, we are lucky to have wifes that enjoy our passion as much as we do.  She scares me sometimes though.  :eek7:   But that's just the way I like it.

If you in the vicinity, give a shout.  :thumleft:
