So I have my electroplating bath all set up and running. I have, however, always wanted to do Aluminium Anodizing.
So a bit if Googling here and a bit of Googling there, a bit of shopping here and a bit there, I have succeeded in doing the first parts. This is not by any means going to be a commercial venture. I often make my own tools to make the jobs easier, and it is nice not to have to run to the local anodizer, wait a week, and then go back to collect.
Instead of acid to do the actual anodiszing I opted to go with Sodium Bisulphate. An aluminium anode in a small plastic container and a small 14V 3A power supply. Some good quality clothing dye and , BINGO.
These are 2 tools I have turned. The first is to align the clutch on the R series bikes, and the second a tool to correctly fit the output shaft seals on the back of the R series gearboxes.
