I approach the drop down towards the river with a fair amount of trepidation…. This is the same spot where I nearly wet my pants with fear when I first came to Swaziland wit @Just Blip It! 5 years ago….

Today it feels like second nature on the 990

…..and then a rookie mistake and bike goes for a nap…..
I’m exhausted, nauseous and dehydrated and I just plonk down next to my bike.

Crossing another bridge, this time solid steel construction and doesn't move around when crossing. Just one catch though....... Only the 990s and 701 fit

The rest of the guys have to go back the way we came and we arrange to meet up on the tar road near a town.
Everyone except Colin.... he decides to go through the river. Nearly drowns his 1290, gets stuck and also gets all his clothes in his Nomad bag wet.

I have a couple of bosk@kke and vomit along the way. I am ready to head to the lodge and ask the Sadist to relieve me of my duties....
We stop at a roadside shop and I have water, Coke and peanuts and soon the allure of kilometres of riverbeds to be ridden in the afternoon has me back on the bike and ready to race.
As always, the riverbeds don't disappoint
