Grey Hound
June 14th Dune riding in Atlantis â?? Lito / Ebs / N[]vA
8:00 am I got up in time to take some pics of the sunrise over Cape Town before heading out
We met up at the suningdale engine garage at 9:00, then waited till 9:30 am when Lito arrived
We headed out across the sand towards the train tracks, though soon Ebs and myself found each other looking around wondering where we had lost Lito. After riding around in circles for about 10 minutes we back tracked far enough to see Lito standing exactly where he had stopped to give me some tips. Turned out he had a battery / kickstand sensor problem.
After 30 minutes of fiddling and charging his battery we were on our way again down the train tracks to Atlantis, Lito and Ebs being nice enough to wait for me to catch up along the way.
I have to admit that riding in Atlantis is the most fun I have ever had on two wheels ! Will definitely be heading back as often as I can.
Ebs's 640 in all its orange glory
Be posing for a nice pic
Lito should be riding a 640, just looks better on it :ricky:
Posing the Xcountry for some nice pics
A few pics of nice sand bowls
Got off my bike ot help Ebs dig his out, took a quick pic of mine
Our photographer Marius taking a spin on my bike
Ebs getting ready to tow Lito out of the sand after Lito's bike decided that the kick stand was down and wanted to rest in the nice cool sand
After a bit of kicking Ebs's bike also decided that staying int he sand was the way to go.... and who says ktm's dont thikn alike ot:
I decided to ride my bike out of the dunes and take a pic before going back to assist Ebs and Lito
And a pic of the route up, with some sand boarders
Playing around with my camera a bit
Headed back down to help Ebs and Lito get out at which point some quads had arived to help them out
Will put more pics up when I get them on tuesday
