Thanks for the pics.

The Ngilanyoni area need a lot more exploring.

Google earth shows a few more knolls and potential waterfalls in the area that call for a visit.

Nice pics Cyclops.....thanks...hey, 'twas good to hook up again hey, after all these years, Nov. 2008! Long time....that was my first ever ride with WD's!

Been looking at some of the wonderful photo's and longing to go back to finish all the little buckets!
This whole area is absolutely amazing, and I'll definitely be doing more exploring here. Even winter is lekker here, and I've ridden in the snow in this area..... VIVA Midlands! :thumleft:

Stopped in at Highover on Sun a trip to show some friends the area - in the 4-wheeler.

I asked the boss-lady if we would be welcome there again.

She said not only would we be welcome back, but they would be angry if we went somewhere else.  ;D

And I found a nice gravel road from Qunu falls through the forests ( I was in the Forester!) down to the Lufafa river and out onto the R64 about half way between Ixopo and richmond - lovely area.

We were on the R64 about 07:45 - a few Km out of  Richmond - the whole Lovu valley below us was full of mist - stunning. I imagined a pic taken from the Ixopo side of the Hella Hella pass with mist in the Mkomazi valley below - wonder if it ever happens ??

Just too far for a weekend trip for us in Jozi - has to be an annual event - hope we don't have to wait another two years like last time  :ricky:

Just recently drove through Richmond, and did the route that we returned to Rosetta on. Found a little dirt road.... decided to follow it, and came out at the back end of Midmar Dam, Then took a left on dirt, and went through the forest area on the L4 (??) Came out on the Dargle road...... Man! what a lekker trail! :drif: Next time I'm down there, it's on my bucket list of trails in the Midlands area  :3some:

 That holiday of March 21st falls on a Friday next year.....any takers?
