Looks like it was an awesome weekend indeed
Winston said:Unfortunately Tagsy's fun time got halved when he pranged on a bridge. It was late afternoon and he missed the turn-off to Futululu and carried on straight. He was distracted by a few locals at a bridge and did not see the railway lines on the bridge that runs inline wiff the bridge (as oppose to across) and he hit one at an angle and came down hard, he nearly went over the side of the bridge.
Chico organised a trailer to fetch him and his buggered bike and also arranged for the bike to be taken back courtesy of Jaco. Tagsy is a tough bugger and although full of einas joined us for the evenings shenanigans albeit in limping mode but that did not stop him from entertaining us with his usual wise cracks and jokes.
We wish him a speedy recovery.

I don't need an invite, I just arrive.....
All I'm saying is you cannot say your jol was better than any other jol, if you did both I you could have an opinion.... 8)

and for once the BM's were left out of it, but oh I forgot, at least half the bikes there were BM's...Winston said:Those big aluminuim wardrobes on the side of Tagsys' bike and his atgatt saved his rearend from seri-ass punctures. Luckily for the fishes he didn't land in the river.
The beemer riders had an easy time cos the KLR's and the KTM's had a go at each others all the time and all the way, very funny and creative baterings were flying around. Lucky for the KLR's Jules was around to set an insane pase upfront in the rough stuff :thumleft: No bragging rights for the big beast machines about leaving them in the dust this time. To make matters worse only KTMs "nailed" all the punctures of the trip and fixings were done under lotsa KLR tjirpings.
The KLR's came bad second when it came to sound. That twin apropovics on Chicco's beast machine sounds absolutely glorious. That is easy one of the best sounding bikes that I have ever heard. It is so good that he even got marraige proposals from two Zulu ladies when he stopped at a filling station.

Our ride was a dash not a bash.
Adventurer is very right, nobody were at both. The basic difference is that they had a big jol south of the Tugela while we had a big jol on the northern side. In the end we are all WD's and each is at liberty to pick the ride or jol that tickless his fancy.
and Adventurer don't need invitations.
