Slick
Pack Dog
A gardener, a surfer and a submariner left at sparrow fart on Friday and headed North. Breakfasted at "Albastergat" and travelled via India into the Northern Drakensberg.
Checked out the Wolkberg route - did 3 dry river crossings (of 23) and then headed into Lekgalameetse. No problem at the isolated top gate. Checked out of the reserve and a wrong turning took us into an encounter with the officialdom of the Limpopo Province. We were politely told that bikes were not allowed in and that the dude who let us in would be fired - nice!
Anyway on to Leydsdorp via various zamalek stops for the night.
Saturday saw us off to Pilgrims via various dirt passes and then to "In De Diepte". A hare scramble of note back to Pilgrims and on to "Grassyhead" for the night.
Headed home on Sunday via Loskop - travelling behind those two big noisy thumpers was like a headbangers wet dream (luckily I didn't spend much time there - he he).
Friday 06h30
Sekhukhune land scenery
Shepherds bush - Boscia (Albitrunca I think)
The long way round
When we arrived about 15 of these kids ran into their school and closed the door. R50 / month includes a meal during the day.
Obligatory stop
Crossing the Berg.
On top of the "Knuckles"
Ryk and Roland : Beware - the competitions fierce out there!! The Gardener.
Nog 'n Zamalek stop.
eepwall:
The Nederlander needed some Africa in his bloodstream.
Its Orange out there.
The Submariner
The Surfer
It sucks to be short!
In De Diepte
Twat's that on the plate? oops! Freudian slip!
:imaposer:
Home safe.
