I need some assistance regarding drill bits from all the clever people on this forum. I am just your average weekend DIYer and during December I've revamped my cave (my pa used to call it his werkskamer). I installed this workbench in the cave planning to bolt a bench drill and router and a bench vice on to it and that's where my problems started.
The workbench started it's live in a hostel kitchen and is made of stainless steel and there is no farkin way I can get a hole in that thing. Initially I thought I can use your normal hardware store run of the mill drill bits......aikona. Then I asked the clever people in the hardware store and they said i need tungsten or something......aikona moer toe in a second. So up to now I've spend more money on drill bits than I've paid for the bench. So PLEASE advise me how to drill holes in that blody thing. My guess is that it is 3mm plus thick.
