Really nice report and photo´s. I must say I also had a very warm reception from the rally raid fraternity out of Arizona, Cali & up north. They sometimes battled a bit with my accent though.  ;D Do you have the same problem too?

I have yet to meet any ******** in my DS travels. Usually the KLR guys are just the salt of the earth kind-a-guys. That said, I have met some grand KTM riders too but not many BMW boys.

An interesting observation FWIW since my visit to SA last year, was that I saw only one KLR, then  an ***-load of BMW's and a few KTM's. Here in the states I tend to see many KLR, then some BMWs with very few KTMs (talking about street riding DS bikes only)

I have my moments with the accent but usually I am fairly well understood. I have found that on the Eastern coast you are much less likely to be understood as opposed to the Western half of the US.

Sjoe, but it is green. I saw Moab brown but still beautiful.
