We're gonna be doing the same thing next week.

Gonna ride to Driehoek ( a few kms after Sanddrif) and spend the night there.
On day 2 we'll do the road to Whuppetal and Clanwilliam doing the same route as you, and back to Driehoek.
It's quite a big circular route.

How long did it take you?

Did the exact same route from Driehoek last December with my son, we left around nine-ish, took it easy, shopped from some Christmas prezzies in Wupperthal and visited the velskoen factory, had lunch in Clanwilliam, weathered a storm on our way back and were back around 16:00 (I think)

here's the link https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=13208.0

Excellent!
Thanks for that.
Getting real excited.

So Wes, when are you posting your pics  ???

Geez, talk about impatient  :deal:

Here are some of my pics, they follow the same order as Karl's, and most of them speak for themselves so I'll keep the words to a minimum...

It's amazing what you can fit into a jacket's back pocket - boerewors, 1l energade bottle, 1l coke

Good stuff guys, and lovely pics.
This report is great encouragement to get out there.
Agree with the water comment: I was stuck out there once in the summer without water and it wasn't funny.

Very nice ride report - and the pics really make a difference too.  Planning a similar trip soon...

I think travelling so light is brilliant! As a matter of interest, what did you NOT take that you feel you should have?
