Saturday afternoon, chores done, beautiful day for a ride â?? So-
Out along the N1 to the Zoo, turn off and left , right onto the gravel then it is a turn to the left and a hop to the right (sung to the tune of â??Lets do the time warp againâ? from the Rocky Horror picture show).

Right at Klapmuts, over the bridge and a short left towards Franschoek. Not too fast now, the first gravel left before the Babylonstoren road and through toward Paarl. Over the N1 and past Fairview, over the R44 and onto gravel again eventually ending at Paardeberg.

Donâ??t take the Slent road yet, will do it on the way back, go the other way â?? Onward past the Correctional Services to the R45. Left to Malmesbury and Left again onto gravel at Jakalsfontein by the Orangerie (Where rumor has it they grow KTMs) .

Follow it through (oops watch that sand) to the T junction at the Aprilskloof sign. Left again and follow the road to the (oops watch that mud) T Junction. Left onto tar back towards Durbanville, lickety spit at 160km/h.
Take a short left at the Wellington turnoff and then a right back onto the Slent road past the big fans.

Over the road and the bridge and right towards Philadelphia and a short left onto the Occultdale then onto Malanshoogte and on to home.

Nice little ride, nothing much to report except that the TA behaved as well as ever and is now a little on the dirty side.

The Cape is just so much greener than up north. Nice! :thumleft:

That long straight dirt road looks like the place where that fast 69 oke from the Freestate sets his speed records.  Thanks for posting.

Beautiful day, wasn't it!  :)

I've often wondered where Occultdale got its name from... :-\
