Pleasure
Permanent fix, due to happy confluence of circumstances (or in my parlance, God's grace ;D).
The farm visit was a stop on the way to Loxton to join Hardy de Kock's Specialised Adventures Kaokoland tour.
1. Hardy very generously fetched Hooligan and I from the farm a day early and arranged for a replacement fat bar, and he and Chantal installed it, and he generally unbent and fixed the bike.
2. P.K. was also joining the Kaololand tour and drove up from George; he bought and brought along the new handlebar.
3. A bike trailer I'd bought a while ago that was standing in Bloemfontein, got a lift to the farm a week or so before my visit.
4. My sister had to visit Cape Town while I was away. She got a lift down, and drove my car with tow bar back to the farm.
5. When we arrived back in Loxton after Kaokoland, my fibula now broken, my brother-in-law fetched me with my car and trailer, and Gary and Janco loaded the Hooligan up directly.
6. Two days later I slowly moseyed back to Cape Town, very grateful that I didn't have to touch the clutch or accelerator much, thanks to cruise control.
