Finally got around to reading this report, and all I can say is "Wow"
Kudos to you for vasbyting through. Its a funny thing, but when you arei n situations like this the outcome always seems so.... impossible or hopeless. It is really awesome to hear how the Big Guy comforted you and reassured you through the dilemma. And then reading Hardey's report I hear the challenges did not end here! Huge respect to you, Ri.
Hope you are healing up well, and I am really looking forward to your next adventure!

I really hope I'll be out of the moon boot in time for the Thumper Bash. I'm going crazy seeing all the great RRs, and the DRs outside my back door are also glowering their frustration...! :imaposer:

I know the Fraserburg road well, few vehicles pass that way regularly. When stuck out there on your own and experience difficulties and "maak 'n plan" becomes survival, you certainly made (exceeded) the grade. ABSOLUTE RESPECT to you and your spiritual partner.

Not getting hurt was a real blessing, also considering I somehow hit the top of my head going down. I don't remember the impact at all, and only noticed the scrapes and cracks on the peak later. The soft spot at the back of my skull where the tip of the spine goes in, was sensitive to the touch for weeks after.
My guardian angel was really on point there :angel4:
