:imaposer:

Thanks for the RR, clever idea with the stick in the handlebars.

Dalk was die as effens skeef, so die agterwiel wou aanmekaar "uitstep"? Dit lei tot "snaking"

Dankie vir 'n great RR. Jou keuse van woorde laat my as Afrikaner wonder oor my gebruik van ons taal.

:thumleft:

RESPECT  :ricky:

Daardie selfde agterband het, nadat ek die banddruk verlaag het, sonder enige verdere verstellings of probleme die hele Kaokoland deur gery ... met 'n ander ridder, nadat die Hooligan my in 'n bos afgeskud het :imaposer:

Dankie vir die komplimente oor my vasbyt, en my taalgebruik.

:peepwall:

Finally got around to reading this report, and all I can say is "Wow"

Kudos to you for vasbyting through. Its a funny thing, but when you arei n situations like this the outcome always seems so.... impossible or hopeless. It is really awesome to hear how the Big Guy comforted you and reassured you through the dilemma. And then reading Hardey's report I hear the challenges did not end here! Huge respect to you, Ri.

Hope you are healing up well, and I am really looking forward to your next adventure!

Thanks for the kind words BB. True, that initial feeling of hopelessness can be paralysing. But I had Help

I really hope I'll be out of the moon boot in time for the Thumper Bash. I'm going crazy seeing all the great RRs, and the DRs outside my back door are also glowering their frustration...! :imaposer:

Well written RR, thanks Ri, you sure are a Gutsy and Classy Lady, most would have turned around and gone home after a tumble like that.
You ask if you will be successful if you stop falling, you already are successful, in that you always get up when you get knocked down...............or fall down  >:D

Will ride with you any day  :thumleft:
Get well soon tough lady.

Aw thanks [member=8670]Tiger8[/member], but "Classy"? You didn't hear the choice words I uttered before I calmed down :lol8:

I sometimes wonder if I'd shut up and just get on with it if I were in company. Maybe easier to play the "girly" when there are guys to fix my troubles. If I could manage to swallow my pride... ::)

I know the Fraserburg road well, few vehicles pass that way regularly. When stuck out there on your own and experience difficulties and "maak 'n plan" becomes survival, you certainly made (exceeded) the grade. ABSOLUTE RESPECT to you and your spiritual partner.

Just got around to reading this truly AWESOME ride report. ;)

Seriously Ri.... I have always had a lot of respect for you in the way you "JUST NEVER QUIT... EVER"  :salut: :notworthy: :salut: :notworthy:

Well my dear friend, that respect has reached an all time high, after reading through this EPIC experience & recovery you endured. Really happy you were firstly not too badly injured & secondly that you managed to make a plan to get sorted out with your McGyver Repair.  :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft: :headbang: :headbang:

Thanks so much for taking the time to put together such an EPIC ride report & for sharing your experience with us. I salute you.  :salut:

Thanks [member=1794]cheesy[/member] and [member=3694]Bring It On[/member]!

Not getting hurt was a real blessing, also considering I somehow hit the top of my head going down. I don't remember the impact at all, and only noticed the scrapes and cracks on the peak later. The soft spot at the back of my skull where the tip of the spine goes in, was sensitive to the touch for weeks after.

My guardian angel was really on point there :angel4:
