And yes Dirty Harry we missed you and Rough Rider but managed as we weren't pulled through the bushes this time. Most of us managed the one giant sand dune.  :laughing4:

The lil downhill that got me so stumped. I watched the others all doing it till I was sick of watching. SuperT kept saying its your birthday you have to do it so I went for it . Its quite scary because when you take off you just see fresh air, yikes. But it was not so bad, those bikes are heavy and tend to move down by themselves without any help from the rider required . :imaposer:

Only CapeKLR did the biggest hill in the Quarry. It's circle with the table top part very sandy so you cannot guarantee that you will be straight when you come down , also you have to turn right as you arrive at the top. Its rutted from side to side , the right slope has two ledges to make you run out of steam and the left slope is quite a bit off - camber as CapeKLR proved to us. The rest of us thought the odds were too high that we would not make it , we going to wait till we ride a bit better. Nice of you to do that so eloquently CapeKLR and to even work a lil fall in to show us how dangerous it is.  :mwink:

To my amazement CapeKLR immediately jumped on his bike and promptly executed the maneuver again and came down successfully this time , I was impressed , that is how it is done, if you fall off a horse get back immediately. ( I would have stopped and caught my breath first but I guess some people are more tough ) :thumleft: :thumleft:

Monkey boy and I escorted him home and it was painful ( and a bit funny ) watching him not being able to turn that big maching of his. :ricky:

ag ja, so my yammy little bearings failed.Not bad for 22 year old bearings, with 150 000+ km's.not bad at all. Funny that the BMW rider carries tools though....I wonder if it means anything.

Incidentally,that ride back was nerve racking!
